BONAIRE
We traveled to Bonaire during February 2016, rented a truck, two sets of dive gear, an unlimited supply of compressed air and strapped a fly rod to the roof for a week. Diving sites with quirky names like Boka Slagbaai, Red Slave and Oil Slick, we spent most of the day in the water, drifting with large tarpon, cubera snapper and some beautiful soft coral, fan and sponge gardens. We also found bonefish tailing in flats on several parts of the island, including the periphery of an expansive salt mine.
